Game 3: Kissitsu

Kissitsu

What you need to play

  • An adult and an excited child
  • An improvised mat: can be a rug, mattress, or bed

Objective

Two Kissitsu masters face off to see who can give a kiss on the other's cheek first! Whoever wins two rounds wins the duel (but only if there's lots of affection involved!).

Rules

  • Both players must playfully wrestle, always on their knees on the mat. If the child is very small, they can stand.
  • No leaving the combat area! If someone slips out, the round starts over.
  • No punches, kicks, or tickling – Kissitsu is the art of gentleness!
  • You can use strategy, spins, fake hugs, somersaults, rolls, but the kiss only counts on the cheek!
  • The match is best of three rounds.
  • Secret rule (adults only! 🤫): the adult can only win one round. Let the child win the battle with two well-placed kisses!

This is the only martial art in the world where kisses and laughter are what count. Everyone wins, and nobody gets hurt (just cheeks wet with kisses!).
